Digital Cameras Under $200
Finding digital cameras under $200 is actually easier than you think these days. So the important thing is to recognize what your needs are when it comes to buying a digital camera. If you don’t know what you want in a camera and go ahead and buy one, you might be kicking yourself later when you realize it takes horrible blurry pictures at your best friends wedding.
Some cameras are just better at doing things than others. Of course you might be thinking “Why not just pick the best brand?” But there are loads of great brands to choose from including; Canon digital cameras, Kodak cameras, Sony, Nikon and Panasonic digital cameras. Choosing a camera just by the brand probably isn’t the best idea.
If you’ve got shaky hands, then you might want to consider a camera with anti-blur function. Perhaps you plan to do a bit of amateur close-up photography, such as insects and flowers. If you do, then you should consider a digital camera with a macro function.
What if you plan to go on holiday? You’re out and about, in say New York City and you come across the Empire State building close up. But there’s a problem! You can’t seem to fit the whole building in without dropping back a few 100 meters! Better get a camera with a wide-angle lens to capture more of the scenery in the shot.
This is good for landscape shots and any time you want to get more into the photo. Nowadays you can even expect to pay under $200 for a digital camera with face detection technology. What does that mean? Well, imagine you’re at a birthday party and you want to take a group photo of your friends. Only problem is, there are ten of them all bunched up together.
Face detection technology enables automatic focus on each individual face, taking into account positioning and background. This ensures that you take great pictures of people all the time. If you have trouble seeing small screens then you will also want to consider the LCD display. In fact, most people usually don’t bother with the viewfinder anymore and look at the LCD screen when taking photos.
I have a Canon camera with a 2.5 inch LCD screen and I’m very pleased with it. A good size LCD screen isn’t just good for capturing good shots, it’s also good for looking at photos that you’ve taken. Ever gone somewhere nice and taken lots of pictures? You haven’t uploaded them to your computer yet but you want to show your friend your pictures on your camera. The problem is the LCD screen is tiny and your friend can barely make out the photos!
Another good point with a good LCD screen is that you can edit and delete as you go along to save memory space. Let’s face it, there will be lots of pictures that won’t be going in the photo frame. So if you’re looking for digital cameras under 200 dollars do a little research before buying one.
